North Jersey Stinging Pests

North Jersey Stinging Pests North Jersey Stinging Pests

We have several varieties of North Jersey Stinging Pests: bees, wasps, hornets and yellow jackets in our area. Most species when left alone are harmless. Unfortunately, the bees sometimes make there nest close to our living areas. When this happens it creates a situation where it is dangerous.  We at PermaKill believe that there are times to hire a professional. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES!  An improper treatment may cause serious injury to the applicator and others nearby.

Common Types of North Jersey Stinging Pests

North Jersey Yellow Jacket Control

Yellow jackets are one of the most dangerous North Jersey stinging pests. An average mature yellow jacket colony will contain about 500 or more members. Yellow jacket colonies usually don’t get noticed until the “4th” of July when the colony grows very rapidly. Most times nests are not noticed until someone gets stung. With an active colony a steady stream of yellow jackets will be constantly entering and exiting the nest.

North Jersey Carpenter Bee Control

carp-beeCarpenter Bees are usually one of the first bees seen in the spring. They chew tunnels in wood to lay their eggs.  Carpenter bees will leave brown stains on the sides of houses and produce sawdust.  They usually are found on the sunny side of the house by an early flowering plant.

North Jersey Wasp Control

Mwaspale wasps cannot sting, but females have a needle-like egg-layer which also serves as a defensive venomous stinger. Wasps often build nests under soffits, behind siding and shutters–places that offer shelter from the rain. Because they are attracted to moisture and sweet odors, wasps will hover around sweat, perfume, food, flowers, dead insects and other things found in the home.
